Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
SEND Services
We feel all children should be able to access opportunities for developing and learning whilst having fun, and parents/carers should be well supported throughout their journey too.
Ways we can help
We can help you:
- Make peer connections in your local area.
- Support with the emotional and physical demands of caring for a child with a disability.
- Access SEND services in your local area.
- Find further support and information specific to your child’s needs.
You may be navigating a neurodevelopmental pathway or figuring out how to manage your child’s disability. Our coordinators and volunteers are on hand to help you through this. We can work with nurseries, schools and other educational facilities to support individual care plans.
Services Available
We have a range of support services on offer to families with children who have special educational needs and disabilities if diagnosed or not.
Groups
We currently run three SEND Family Groups called SEND Families Unite. Run by our SEND family coordinators, groups are for parents to meet other parents in a safe and supportive space and to find out about other services available to you.
Support At Home
If you are looking for more individual support around child behaviour, coming to terms with a diagnosis or emotional support then our Home-Visiting service may be more suitable.
We have fully trained SEND Family Support Coordinators and Volunteers who will be able to meet you at home and work with you to help you through any difficulties you may be facing.
